First, FC United substitute Kevin Zokou saw red on 82 minutes for an unnecessary challenge. Then, despite their numerical disadvantage, the home side managed to pull one back on 86 minutes when CONNOR MELLING glanced a header home from a free kick.

Unfortunately, there wasn’t enough time left for the Young Reds to grab a late equaliser, so the FC United of Manchester Youth team must now look forward to hosting Guiseley AFC Youth in a National League u19 Alliance League Cup tie on Wednesday 9th October 2019 (Broadhurst Park 3G - KO 11.30 am).
