Kidderminster game now on Sun 29 July

FC United are happy to announce that the friendly against Kidderminster Harriers has been rescheduled for Sunday 29 July 2007 Kick Off 3pm.

The date has been squeezed into Kidderminster’s pre-season fixtures after AFC Telford kindly agreed to bring their home game against Kidderminster forward from Saturday 28 July to Friday 27 July. The unseasonably heavy rainfall has already caused both FC United and Kidderminster to lose friendly fixtures. Kidderminster’s friendly at Bewdley Town was called off last Sunday due to a waterlogged pitch and FC United’s game next Saturday had to be cancelled when construction work on Nantwich’s new ground was delayed by the rain.

Kidderminster’s Assistant Manager, Neil Howarth said "It was very disappointing that today’s game fell foul of the unprecedented weather and we’re very grateful to both AFC Telford and FC United that we’ve been able to rearrange the game."

FC United’s Board member with responsibility for friendlies, Alison Watt, also thanked fellow fans-owned club AFC Telford for helping Kidderminster with rescheduling and said "Our team have been looking forward to testing themselves against last season’s FA Trophy finalists, so we’re delighted the game will be going ahead." In a reference to Steve Torpey’s departure to Halifax last pre-season she added "We may need to tell the players not to score any wonder goals against this season’s Conference opposition!"

This game is to be played at Kidderminster Harriers, Aggborough Stadium, Hoo Road, Kidderminster, Worcestershire, DY10 1NB

Admission is pay on the gate. Prices are:

£10 Adults
