President's Cup Reinstatement

Supporters will be aware that Nantwich Town have been disqualified from the President’s Cup after fielding an ineligible player in the game last Monday resulting in FC United being re-instated to the competition.

We have made it clear to Nantwich that as a fellow member club they have our support and accept that the introduction of the ineligible player as a late substitute had no material effect on the outcome of the match.

Nevertheless, we have not made any representation to the League on this matter, as it is the League Management Committee’s right to enforce its rules.
