The Development Fund - A leap of faith...

You will have noticed a recent jump in the number of people signed up to the Development Fund’s standing order scheme. For those wondering why, let us explain...

Quite simply, when the club did the initial push early last season a system was introduced which saw supporters’ names entered into a database as and when we received a signed standing order form back in the office.

As has historically been the case FC United supporters have had a tendancy to kindly donate to the DF without informing us directly. Some 60 or so supporters, rather than return a form to the club, set up standing orders via their own banks, which came as a pleasant surprise when the DF accounts were reconciled in June.

So, that’s why we had a sudden jump to over 450, which will now net the Development Fund over £52,000 per annum.

Standing orders remain the easiest way to help your club realise the dream of playing in our ground. We have a huge target of £500,000 so if you can spare a few quid each month, however small or large, then please click the "PITCH IN" link on the homepage and set up a standing order today.
