Spencer eyes the prize

Ahead of Sunday’s Minithon board member Jules Spencer has set his sights on one of the many prizes on offer for entrants. He confirmed:

"There’s no point entering these things half-hearted, I’ve been training for some months now and I intend to win"

So what time does he think he’ll be able to manage to take 1st place?

"1st place? Are you on glue? No, the category I hope to win is the ’Best Headgear’ one and I’ve got a novel idea. Not for me a daft cap or jesters hat, my headgear is going to be my Son"

Clearly having lost the plot, he continued:

"I plan to carry my 3 year old lad, Joe around the whole course on my shoulders. I might have to drop the pace a little more than I’d have liked (cough) but the intention is to get all the way round without him pulling my hair too much or gouging my eyes out, which he thinks is highly amusing. The key will be which gives in first, my shoulders or his patience. It could be a long morning."
