Reds set to remain unchanged

FC United are set to start Saturday’s FA Trophy second qualifying round tie against Worksop with the same team that beat Ilkeston Town 3-1 at Gigg Lane on Wednesday night and manager Karl Marginson is confident of victory.

The Reds drew nil-nil with their Nottinghamshire opponents five weeks ago in the league at home but Margy is expecting his team to do much better this time around. He said: "Worksop played well but we were awful that day. We just need to keep doing what we’re doing. The attacking threat we’ve got now is enough to beat anyone in this league and the lads will take great confidence from beating Ilkeston who are one of the big hitters."??

Simon Garner serves the second match of a three game ban so Alex Skidmore and Liam Foster will continue at full-back with Danny Warrender in the centre of midfield.

Margy was full of praise for the trio. He said: "Danny is an intelligent footballer who can play anywhere in defence or midfield and it shows. Alex did really well on Wednesday - for a 17-year-old to come in and produce a performance like that shows what potential he has. And Liam has stepped up to the plate after being left out for a few games."??

Meanwhile, Chris Baguley is back to full fitness but will probably have to settle for a place on the bench whilst his older brother Jamie is still a few weeks away from being available for selection after suffering a knee cartilage tear. Senegalese midfielder Papis Djeeyte will also be hoping to get involved in the action after finally making his debut for the Reds on Wednesday night as a late substitute.
