Help us plan for the new ground - General Meeting and Survey

This year’s General Meeting of FC United Limited will be held at MANCAT Openshaw Campus, Ashton Old Road, Openshaw, Manchester, M11 2WH, on Sunday 29th March 2009, for a prompt start at 12:30pm. Registration opens at 12 noon.

Please remember that the clocks go forward this weekend so don’t be late.

As well as voting on the resolutions and members’ vote, at this year’s General Meeting you will have the opportunity to help plan for our own ground, full details below.

Help Us Plan for the New Ground - General Meeting and Survey

Following the feasibility study we are moving forward with our plans and applications for a ground of our own. We want members to be involved as much as possible and you can help us with this work in two ways.

Ground Development Work - General Meeting, Sunday 29th March

We will be presenting an update on our work towards a new ground at Sunday’s General Meeting of members and showing some of the outline concepts we have been working with. We will also be staging some short workshops, with the help of architects and designers, to get member’s ideas for what they would like to see incorporated in the ground development. This is very much a first step in our consultation but an important one to gauge the range of opinions fans have.

Come along and contribute your ideas - however sensible or daft they might seem!

If you can’t make it Sunday, don’t worry, there will be LOTS of opportunities to do so in the coming months and nothing at all will be decided or fixed as a result of Sunday’s meeting. But it will be useful input, so please come along if you can.

Survey - Travel and Spending

As part of the ground plans we have to prepare - business plan, travel plan, community use - we need to get some basic information about FC United fans to inform those. This is information like how you travel to matches and what you spend on a match day.

Next week we will be starting a short, online survey to help with this and we need your help - members and non members - to complete it. We will send details next week and post them on the website, so look out for the announcement and please contribute.

Thanks from everyone at FC.
