New Reserve Team Manager

FC United are pleased to announce that Tony Cullen has agreed to manage our reserve team next season. Tony has played 22 times for FC this season, and is currently taking his coaching badges. The reserve team is an exciting development for the club; both Karl and the board are looking forward to expanding the opportunities for local youngsters to play for FC United, and are delighted that Tony has agreed to take on the job. His assistant manager will be Lawrence Greenhalgh. We will be looking for volunteers to assist with the running of the reserve team next season, more details on this will follow.

Tony Cullen told us, "This is an exciting opportunity and I am looking forward to getting started and bringing some youngsters through." The idea of bringing young players through was echoed by General Manager Andy Walsh, "The reserve team is very important to our plans for the future, plans that focus on bringing young talent through the ranks of the club. Tony has the commitment, talent and enthusiasm that we wanted from our reserve team manager, so we are delighted to formally announce his appointment."

Margy is also very happy about the appointment, "Tony has shown a first class attitude, his enthusiasm for the development and progression of young players this season has been evident, and this combined with his good footballing knowledge, means I'm sure he'll do a great job for us."
