Friendly game - West Didsbury and Chorlton v FC United XI, Wednesday 14 July 2010

FC United have been invited to play a friendly game against West Didsbury and Chorlton at their Brookburn Road ground. One of Manchester’s leading amateur clubs, West Didsbury and Chorlton can trace their history back to 1908. The club has three sides playing in the Manchester League; first, reserves and an A team and in season 2009-10 their first team finished as runners up in division 1. Vice Chairman and CEO, Rob Turley, a former player with the club, told us "West Didsbury and Chorlton are proud of being a local community club and we’re really looking forward to this game. The club is keen to move forward and our aim is to progress into the North West Counties Football League".

Further details of the match will be announced nearer the time, but please note the game is likely to kick off at 7pm, because West Didsbury and Chorlton are having new floodlights and they’re unlikely be ready before our friendly.
