Punk meets Pavarotti - come and embrace the cultures unite

Celebrating the broad church at FC United is what we all stand for. So, why don’t you come down and see us put it to the test when punk football meets Pavarotti on the 18th November?

Sit down FC! Enjoy the culture vultures uniting together, as we bring you a sophisticated night of fine food and fine entertainment!

We know you will all be needing a break from watching the re-runs or recorded clips of the frolics at Spotland - so get down to The Isis Restaurant and enjoy music provided courtesy of our male and female opera singers - serenading you whilst you enjoy a three course meal.

Sing your hearts out alongside such classics as Barcelona, Nessun Dorma and many more football related favourites.

Due to FC United progressing in the FA Cup the scheduled Race Night on Friday 26th November is postponed. The manager and players will be attending the Italian night and two special presentations will be made to two of our long serving team members. So come along and enjoy another great FC United event.

Starters:

- Leek & Potato Soup
- Meatballs – Beef meatballs infused with coriander, garlic, Parsley & onion, cooked in ragu sauce and topped with melted mozzarella
- Fishcake- A selection of fresh fish bound with mashed potato, breaded and fried until golden, served with a dice salsa verdi.

Mains:

- Chicken Boscaiola- Chicken breast in a white wine, tomato sauce with onion, mushrooms & peppers
- Poached Salmon- Fresh poached Salmon steak with a creme fraiche, diced tomato and chervil sauce
- Wild Mushroom & Asparagus Risotto- Arborio rice with sauteed wild mushrooms, asparagus,fresh sage and finished with mascarpone

Desserts:

- Amaretto Gateaux
- Vanilla cheesecake with mixed berries
- Chocolate profiteroles

Whilst it may be blowing a gale and baltic outside at this time of year - inside the heart of FC United it’s as warm as ever and we’ve got a red hot Christmas Party for you to cut loose with.

We’re all believing that the big red man actually delivered the best Christmas present ever last Friday night to the FC faithful at Spotland - so we think it’s only fair we give the festive season something back in return, so make sure you don’t miss watching the good times roll at the most eagerly social event of the year - the FC Christmas Party!

Get down to The Crown on Fountain St and enjoy a night of Soul and Motown performed by our very own Soul Man Michael Pal. With winter warming grub and wine flowing what better way to celebrate the recent success on the pitch than to sing your soul out at the club’s Christmas Party!
