Football Apprenticeship with FC United

FOOTBALL APPRENTICESHIP WITH FC UNITED OF MANCHESTER

This is a 16 week course delivered by FC United of Manchester and Football Qualifications Ltd.

The course is aimed at young men and women who are 16 or over but have not yet had their 19th birthday who are not currently working or attending college.

You don’t have to be especially good at football. If you enjoy football, have an interest in sport and can show some commitment, you will be very welcome.

Apprentices need to commit 16 hours per week. You will;

• Develop your footballing skills
• Have a go at other sports
• Learn how to be a football coach
• Get a chance to help FC United coaches put on play schemes for kids
• Come to FC United matches

You will get the following qualifications;

• Level 2 NVQ in Sport and Recreation
• FA Level 1 Coaching Qualification
• First Aid qualification
• Child Protection qualification
• Basic skills qualifications

You can access this course at three centres (You will have to attend one of these centres);

• Clayton Youth Club
• Ardwick Youth Club on Palmerston Street in Ancoats
• Longsight Youth Club

You will be paid an attendance allowance of £77 per week from the fourth week of the course.
