Bank Holiday Home game - important information

FC United’s home match at Curzon Ashton - important information for supporters

With Gigg Lane out of action due to Bury’s cup fixture on Tuesday, FC United will play our third home game of the season in our third home ground of the season (and our seventh home ground overall).

FC United supporters will be used to going to The Tameside Stadium but on Monday it will be a home game so don’t forget your season ticket.

Turnstile arrangements

There are 8 turnstiles in total, two in each corner of the ground. We urge supporters to use all turnstiles to ease congestion at those closest to the car park.

The two turnstiles closest to the statue in the car park will be for season ticket holders only.

Supporters paying cash should use the turnstiles in the other three corners. Season tickets will be accepted in all turnstiles. Supporters will not be segregated once inside the ground and Bradford Park Avenue fans will be able to use all of the cash turnstiles.

Please arrive early to avoid missing the start of the match. There have been long queues outside the ground when FC United have played here in the past. Please remember that the turnstiles are operated by FC United volunteers and supporters, so arriving early and using quieter turnstiles will allow them to close up on time and see as much of the match as possible.

Access for wheelchairs and prams is through a gate close to the statue. A steward will be available to assist you here.

Directions

The full address for the ground is The Tameside Stadium, Richmond Street, Ashton-under-Lyne, OL7 9HG.

By car: Exit M60 (from Stockport) at junction 23. Turn left off the slip road, then get into the second from left lane to go through the lights onto the A6140 sign-posted Ashton. The ground is at the bottom of the road. There is a car park at the ground with six disabled spaces. Due to Metrolink construction on Lord Sheldon Way, delays are likely. Supporters should leave extra time to travel to the match.
