Well done Margy - November manager of the month

Karl Marginson has won the League’s November manager of the month award.

FC United’s run of nine games without defeat includes five wins and two draws in the month of November. The club is well placed in the League and through to the first round of the FA Carlsberg Trophy for the first time in our history.

Karl paid tribute to the players and the back room staff: ’It is great to get this award as it shows how much progress we are making as a club. All the staff and the players have put in a tremendous amount of work this last few weeks and that has shown in the results that we have been getting. We need to keep producing consistent effort week in week out if we are to continue to progress.’

Winning the monthly award is usually followed by a bad result or two but Margy remained stoical in the face of the statistics: ’This team can get better yet and I want to see an improvement in the level of thought and concentration we have shown in recent matches. We are still making the odd error and we will drop points between now and the end of the season but so will the teams around us. The awards we are aiming for are given out in April and May not November.’
