Evo-Stik League Premier Division promotion play-offs

The league has announced that, subject to any appeal by Northwich Victoria, the new dates for the Evo-Stik League Premier Division promotion play-offs will be as follows:-

SEMI-FINALS - Saturday 28th April at 3pm

FINAL - Saturday 5th May, in consultation with the competing clubs. As the Saturday is FA Cup Final day (5.15pm) the kick-off time will also be subject to negotiation.

Unless FC United finish fifth in the league, then there is no guarantee that we will be in the play-offs. In order to finish in fifth position, then we need to win our game at home to Northwich Victoria on Saturday and Hednesford Town need to lose their game at home to Worksop on the same day.

We do not know when the FA appeal hearing for Northwich Victoria will take place, but the announcement of the play-off dates would seem to indicate that the hearing will take place sometime next week.

We have been made aware that Northwich Victoria supporters are arranging a protest at Saturday’s game at Gigg Lane. As a supporter-owned club, FC United supports the right of fans to make their views known and we have informed Bury safety staff to avoid any concerns that may arise. We also respect the constitution of the Evo-Stik League Northern Premier and support the right of Northwich Victoria FC to appeal against the league’s decision.
