FC United of Manchester is looking for a Volunteer Co-ordinator. The post is voluntary and will report to the Club Secretary / Volunteer Liaison Officer.
The main duties of the role are as follows: -
- To act as the main contact for all volunteers
- Supervise / oversee all volunteers
- Ensuring there is appropriate support and training for volunteers
- Liaise with the Club Secretary / Volunteer Liaison Officer to ensure that all tasks required to run the club efficiently are carried out
- Recruiting volunteers and ensuring they are appropriately matched and trained for a position
- Ensure that each volunteer understands their job and their role within the club
- Get to know all club volunteers and potential volunteers by name
- Ensure that all roles have a job description - consult volunteers and the Club Secretary / Volunteer Liaison Officer to write job descriptions
- Researching and writing volunteer policies and procedures
- Motivating volunteers through recognition of their contribution and via regular feedback
- Generating appropriate volunteering opportunities and role descriptions based on the needs of the organisation
- Monitoring, supporting, motivating and accrediting volunteers and their work

- Be a self-starter and have the ability to self-manage;

- Well organised and able to maintain accurate records

- Confidence and enthusiasm
- Good motivator
- Tactful and discrete
