FC United shortlisted for Co-operative Awards 2012

FC United has been shortlisted in The Co-operative Awards 2012, which recognise the excellence, innovation and impact of co-operatives and mutuals across the country. We have made the shortlist in the #coops2012 award category, for the co-operative which has actively used a variety of media (radio, press and social media) to promote how their co-operative is building a better world through co-operation during 2012.

Ed Mayo, secretary general of Co-operatives UK, who run the awards, said: "The Co-operative Awards 2012 are a chance to celebrate co-operatives businesses during the UN International Year of Co-operatives, with co-operative leaders from around the world. Co-operatives UK is proud to have members in all sectors of the economy which are proving their sustainability, innovation and resilience every day in a tough economic climate."

The winners of the awards will be announced on 31 October 2012 to 900 co-operative and mutual leaders from around the world at the international dinner of Co-operatives United, the culminating event of the International Year of Co-operatives which takes place in Manchester.
