CYCM hosts a Riot - UPDATED

Get in early on Saturday, as there is a packed schedule of events at Course You Can Malcolm to mark International Women’s Day. The pre-match club night in the afternoon will be hosting an exhibition, a female folk punk band, a short film and a Q and A session with FC’s women’s team.

The band is Roughneck Riot and this is how they describe themselves: "We are reinventing and rewriting folk music to make sense to our lives today. We write music for people, regardless of race, nationality, age, gender or sexuality."

An exhibition about International Women’s Day will be running all afternoon and there will also be a showing of the film ’A woman’s place is on the pitch...’ To top it all off the stars of FC United’s Women’s team will be popping in to answer your questions.

As a gesture of solidarity, we have an all-male food serving team on Saturday with cakes, pies, tater ash and the usual veggie delights at your disposal. We will also have the usual liquid refreshments in the way of beer and hot beverages.

Usual door rules apply - members plus one guest. From 12pm.

Stop the press: Attila the Stockbroker, the Brighton fan who many FC fans will be familiar with, is doing a 15 minute poetry set at 1pm. Make sure you get in early.

Stop the press 2: Blaine is baking a chocolate cake and our resident sweet-toothed librarian is on the other side of the Andes, so there will be plenty to go round. Get in early and fill your boots.
