GREAT MANCHESTER RUN - FC RUNNERS AND RIDERS THIS SUNDAY

Once again we have an FC United team running the Great Manchester Run to raise funds to help FC and the Development Fund. There’s no need to stress how important that is at the moment. This year’s race takes place this Sunday 26 May and at the last count we have a team of 23 runners, which includes 8 players, coaches and backroom staff.

Players and supporters have set up their own sponsorship pages in many cases and for those that haven’t there is a group page called the FC22ers. Please show your support by clicking on one of the links below.

Jake Cottrell is a late substitution for Adam Jones and is promising to beat Nicky Platt’s players’ record time of 41 minutes and 44 seconds. Why not post him a note of encouragement below?

TV coverage starts live on BBC2 at 10.00 am. and full details of the run and the course map can be found here. Please get down to the course to cheer on the players and supporters if you can – they will all be wearing red first team tops. Immediately after the race the runners will be meeting up at the back of Bar 38 in the Great Northern Square near the junction of Peter Street and Deansgate for a drink if you’d like to join them.
