Lancashire League Cup quarter-final draw

FC United’s Development Squad will play Ashton Athletic, Ashton Town or AFC Fylde in the Lancashire League Cup quarter-final.

In February, the Reds played Bootle and Curzon Ashton for a place in the quarter finals against the winners of seven other groups.

This competition was first announced just as the wettest winter on record was about to bite. It has taken until now for the other groups to catch up. The final game is due to be played on Thursday March 27th as Ashton Athletic take on Ashton Town after each has played against AFC Fylde.

It is envisaged that the quarter-final and semi-final ties will be played before the end of April. The final is scheduled for the first week in May.

The Reds have been drawn at home to the winners of a group, which at the time of writing could be any of the three teams mentioned above.

The game will take place Saturday 29th March 2014 with an 11am kick off at the Nicholls Academy.
