Club appoint two new members of staff

With the build now over the half way mark we are starting to implement our plans for delivering the success of our new facility.

The business plan for the new ground forms part of the Community Share offer. The business plan, which has been presented and discussed at members’ meetings over the last two years includes the recruitment of new staff to deliver the success we all want to see at Broadhurst Park.

The first of those posts were advertised a few weeks ago.

Following a full recruitment and selection process the club is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Bright and Amanda Tudor.

Paul Bright has been appointed as the new Community Sports Development Manager and will work alongside existing staff to deliver the promised sporting and community benefit at the ground. Paul has an extensive knowledge in sports development with a background in coaching the England Colleges National team as well as working at Manchester United’s academy for 8 years. Paul has also been involved in FC United’s youth set up for the past 18 months. Paul is a qualified teacher and worked at a number of colleges teaching sports programmes.

Paul is excited about the new role and said:

“I have been involved with FC United’s player development for a number of years working alongside Karl at The Manchester College and supporting Chuks and Darren with the development of younger players.

He added: I am committed to working with the club’s community team, helping develop the club’s community sport programme as we move into our new ground. I am passionate about improving individuals, teams and working with the club’s existing staff and coaches to help us achieve our ambition to improve sporting opportunity for the people of Manchester.???

Amanda Tudor has been appointed as the new Club and Business Development Manager. Amanda’s background is in hospitality, events and catering with Manchester City Council backed up by strong marketing and promotions experience within the public sector.

Amanda said of the role:

I’m delighted to be joining the club at such an exciting time in FC’s history. I look forward to working with all the teams involved in the development and delivery of the new ground, and to meeting everyone that makes everything happen. From what I’ve seen so far, there are so many fantastic and dedicated people who make the club what it is today, it can only go one way and that way is up. Broadhurst Park is a great opportunity to bring everyone’s dreams, hopes and passion to fruition – I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to be part of making this happen and will give it my all to help fulfil and exceed expectations at all levels.
