KITAID collection to be held before Grantham Town home game

KITAID collection to be held before Grantham Town home gameFC United has arranged for the KitAid organisation to hold another of their kit collection days on Saturday 20th September 2014 at the home game against Grantham Town at Bower Fold, Stalybridge.

FC United of Manchester General Manager Andy Walsh

‘KitAid’, which has former England manager Graham Taylor as its patron, is a registered charity which collects no longer wanted football kit and then sends it on to less privileged children and adults across Africa, India and other developing countries.

Since ‘KitAid’ began in 1998, a grand total of over 220,000 items of kit have now been collected and on-sent to 49 countries and five continents. FC United have always held successful collections for KitAid and last year’s, in April 2013, saw hundreds of items of kit being brought along by supporters.

So, if you have any clean, unwanted, good condition football kit (shirts, shorts, boots and footballs) and wish to donate to the appeal, please bring them along to Bower Fold, Stalybridge on Saturday 20th September 2014 before the home game against Grantham Town.

Make sure your old shirt gets appreciated far from home.

Go on – be a donor and support this year’s KitAid appeal!
