FC United's 2014 Annual General Meeting

FC United’s 2014 Annual General MeetingFeel the club could do things better? Or maybe you would like to be part of FC United’s future as we move into our new home?

Well, now is your chance to take part in your club’s inner workings by standing to be elected to the board.

The 2014 AGM will take place on Wednesday, November 26, at The Central Methodist Hall, Oldham Street, Manchester, M1 at 7pm.

At the AGM, five current board members (Des Lynch, Mike Sherrard, Pete Burke, Adam Brown and Alison Watt) are standing down as required having served their maximum two year tenure on the board. There will therefore be five places available on the board in the election.

Any member wishing to stand as a candidate for the board should submit a written nomination to the club secretary. The nomination needs to be endorsed by not fewer than five other members.

It must clearly state that the member wishes to stand for election to the club board at the forthcoming AGM and declare eligibility to be a member of the board.

It must clearly state the name and membership number of the prospective candidate and be received no later than 12 noon on Wednesday, October 22.

All candidates may also submit a statement in support of their candidacy of no more than 400 words and a passport style photograph.

Any members intending to stand for the board are urged to read Rules 61 to 71 of the Club’s Constitution (Industrial and Provident Societies Rules).

Notifications of members standing for election to the board, containing the information requested above, should be posted to the Club’s registered office at:
