Tenders Invited for Staffed Security Services

Security providers are invited to submit proposals for the supply of a staffed guard service (84 hours per week) for the FC United of Manchester (FCUM), Community Sports Facility, at Broadhurst Park, Moston, Manchester, M40 0FJ.

FCUM are looking for a reliable provider of ‘security services’ who is on the Security Industry Authority’s (SIA) Approved Contractor Scheme and employs SIA licensed individuals. Only those companies that are able to demonstrate the relevant staff experience, track record and value for money are likely to be successful.

The key elements of the contract are to:
1. Monitor the facility’s CCTV system.
2. Conduct out of hours security patrols.
3. Perform lock/unlock duties.
4. Access Control.
5. Perform general security duties.

The contract term will initially be for one year with an option of an annual extension based on requirements and performance.

Security Providers are asked to submit an introductory proposal outlining the following:
• Overall cost for undertaking the contract for a 12 month period.
• Hourly Charge Rate (should include calculations showing guard rate, management fee etc)
• FC United is a Living Wage employer and requires all contract staff to be paid the minimum of the Living Wage.
• An overview of the Security Provider.
• Details of accreditations.
• A commitment and ability to provide dedicated on-site approved security staff for the contracted hours.

The timeline for proposals are as follows:
• 5.00pm on 26th February 2015 – closing date for proposals
• 27th February 2015 – top 3 proposers informed
• Week commencing 2nd March 2015 – meetings/presentations by selected tenderers
• 6th March 2015 – winning proposer informed.
Consultation with the winning proposer will begin week commencing 6th March 2015 to include contractual requirements.
