As FC United celebrates its 10th year in existence, we’re proud to announce that our first friendly this pre-season will be a game against Hereford FC, a club which is set to be 50% owned by its supporters trust.
The game will be played at Edgar Street, which was the home of Hereford United for 90 years until they folded in December 2014. The ground has now been leased back to the resurrected club.
Martin Watson, Hereford FC club secretary and vice-chair of the club’s supporters trust said: "This is planned to be our first game back at Edgar Street, so we expect it to be a very attractive game for Hereford supporters and something of a celebration of fan ownership."
Fittingly, the two clubs announced the friendly during Supporter Ownership Week, Supporters Direct’s week-long celebration of fan ownership and involvement taking place from 11-18 April 2015.
FC United board member Alison Watt said: "We wish Hereford FC every success as they begin on the same journey that we have enjoyed so much." More information about Hereford FC can be found on their website at

Further details about the game will be announced nearer the time, but a couple of bits of early information for FC United fans to bear in mind:
1. We ask our fans to be mindful that this will be the first major game the new club will be putting on at their ground, so we’re sure Hereford FC would appreciate our patience on the day.
2. The home and away fans will be segregated on entry, because the gate share for FC United will be based on fans who go through ’our’ turnstile(s).
