Worcester City v FC United - reduced admission prices to celebrate benefits of supporter ownershipWorcester City have announced that there will be a reduction in entry prices to the Vanarama National League North match v FC United of Manchester at Aggborough on Saturday 5 March 2016.

The club, which currently plays its home matches at Kidderminster, have taken the step to promote their efforts to return to Worcester and a ground of their own.

Worcester City Supporters Trust hope that the day will be a celebration of supporter ownership and have been working with FC United on the initiative to reduce prices for the game.

The club’s normal prices are Adults £13, concessions £9, young adults £6 and under 16s £3. For the FC United match entry prices will be Adults: £10, Concessions £5 and Juniors Under 16 £1.

Rob Crean, a Worcester City FC board member and secretary of the Worcester City Supporters Trust, said: “Worcester City FC and Worcester City FC Supporters Trust are delighted to be working with FC United to promote our game in March. WCFC Trust have been working tirelessly to move the club to become supporter owned and FC United of Manchester are a beacon to supporters around the country to show what can be achieved. Supporters Direct are at the forefront of both clubs and as FC United are a great example of community ownership we are extremely fortunate to be in a position to be able to draw on their invaluable wealth of experience.???

Rich Widdowson of Worcester City FC Supporters Trust added: “We greatly admire the ethos and passion of the owners of FC United and the fans, several of whom we have met at Supporters Direct Events around the country going back several years. In our times of frustration working towards getting a new ground back in our home city, the FC United story inspires us to press on.???

He added: “We hope that FC United supporters travel in their numbers to the game and we will receive them with open arms.???
