Volunteers needed to assist at Ken Loach FC Talk-In events

We require 10 volunteers to assist with the Ken Loach talks at Broadhurst Park on Thursday 28 April. We need people to assist from 3.15pm to 6pm and/or from 6pm to 8.30pm. Tasks will include meet and greet, collecting tickets on the door, helping people to their seats etc. If you are prepared to assist please contact phil@philframpton.co.uk

The extra Q&A event with the film director Ken Loach from 4pm to 5.30pm on Thursday 28 April is still open for booking. However, the 6.30pm event is already fully booked.

Ken’s gritty films of renown include Kes, Poor Cow, Riff-Raff, The Spirit of 45, Route Irish, Ladybird Ladybird and Land and Freedom and TV productions such as Up the Junction and Cathy Come Home. Not forgetting of course the brilliant Looking for Eric which featured FC United and football supporters in the city.

Ken is a fervent supporter of Bath City and says that while the film, Looking for Eric, raised many issues about football, alongside sit messages about approaches to life in general.

Local community groups are particularly welcome to attend the Q&A session from 4pm to 5.30pm on 28 April and their questions, presented in advance to Ken, will be given priority.

You can reserve your seat for free at the Q&A event, but all entrants will be charged £1 on the door and asked for a donation, if they can afford it, to go to the FC United Development Fund.

The events are part of a series of “FC Talk-In??? football-related events that the club aims to organise for supporters and the local community.
