FCUM Review - Matchday programmes for 2016/17

FCUM Review - Matchday programmes for 2016/17We are inviting fans to send in contributions for our programme and a big thanks to our programme contributors past and present .

Planning has already started for next season’s matchday programme to make it even better and we are inviting fans to send in contributions. We start with two exciting pre-season home friendlies against Hereford and Rochdale, which should provide some initial inspiration to kick the season off in style.

David Bergin, editor and designer of FC Review, commented:

“As a founder member of the Club I was delighted to be appointed programme editor last November. I’m already in the process of building on and improving last season’s programme, so can’t wait to get going again. It would be great to have some new contributors next season to join the existing team. There must be some great stories to be told about the Rochdale FA Cup game, in particular - providing people were sober enough the next day to remember them! We are hoping to make the Rochdale programme something special so please send in your stories and photos from that famous night in 2010???.

The Club is proud to have such an excellent programme and that is down to the enthusiasm of our contributors, photographers, sellers and buyers. The programme makes an important contribution to the Club including raising much needed finances and continuing the proud tradition of fan-written materials Manchester United supporters have always been known for.

The Board would like to take this opportunity to thank all contributors and sellers - past and present.

We would like to express thanks to Tony Howard who has been involved with the programme since the start and edited/designed the programme from 2011 to 2015. During that time, thanks to all involved, the programme won numerous plaudits and would not have looked out of place several leagues higher – a credit to the Club.

The Board would like to offer a public apology to Tony for the poor handling of the disagreements over the Benfica programme last year and, in particular, for any damage that was caused to Tony’s professional reputation. The Board also apologise to staff, members and volunteers who were also affected by the situation.

As a Club, we must accept that members will have different opinions and learn to handle any disagreements in a more productive and respectful manner. The Board have listened to members and we are making arrangements for the Rochdale game that we hope will start to heal the rifts that have developed within the Club’s support – more on that over the next few days.

Any contributions in the form of letters, articles, ideas, photos, poems, cartoons or general comments on the programme should be sent to the following email address: programme@fc-utd.uk.

If you would like to join our intrepid team of sellers (even for just a few a games a season) then please email: office@fc-utd.uk.

The price of the programme for the 2016/17 season will remain as it was in the very first season at £2. You can subscribe to a season’s worth of programmes (either print or digital) by clicking here.
