Well done to FC United's Disability team!

Well done to FC United’s Disability team!On Saturday 16th March our FC United Disability team played a match against our Academy. The game was to raise awareness for Level Playing Field which offers support, information and advice on a range of topics around disabled spectators access and this is offered to spectators, Clubs, Disabled Supporter Association’s, NGO’s and other interested parties.

Despite the weather, the game was well attended with around 15 of our disability players and 7 of our academy players taking part.

Academy and Sport Development Manager, Tom Conroy said “The game was a huge success despite the weather. It was a great turn out from the players and was good to see Level Playing Field at the event. Roy Williamson has also been working hard to communicate with supporters who have disabilities to make sure he can get feedback on their match day experience.
Our disability teams have really progressed over the last 2 years which has been great to see, and is evident in their progression this year in the FA Peoples Cup. Hopefully they are successful in the next round and get to experience playing at St Georges Park.”

Our FC United disability team have recently progressed into the next round of the FA Peoples Cup which takes place this Sunday (24th March) in Sheffield! If successful the team will go on to play in the finals at St Georges Park. GOOD LUCK!
