2023 Annual General Meeting

26th November 2024

This 2023 FC United of Manchester Annual General Meeting took place on Sunday 26th November 2023 at Broadhurst Park. The vote count took place at Broadhurst Park at 6.10pm on Wednesday 29th November, conducted by Desmond Gallagher (Office staff member) in the presence of independent scrutineer Ruth Buchanan (Co-Operatives UK). Paul Hurst (Board candidate) and Nick Boom (Board candidate) observed the count.

The results of the Election to the Club Board, Resolutions and Members’ Votes are as follows;

1845 members were eligible to vote. A total of 615 votes (607 online, 8 postal) were cast, representing a turnout of 33.3%. 1 postal vote was received from someone who voted online and was discarded.

Resolution 1

“That the Club will establish a “Fund The Foundations” scheme, dedicated to raising money to help repay historic debts incurred as a result of the construction of Broadhurst Park. Money raised towards this fund will be ringfenced for the purpose of debt repayment and must not be used for any other purpose.”

Resolution 1 required a vote in favour of a simple majority of those members who voted online or by proxy/post to be passed.

Resolution 2

“That FC United of Manchester will have the ability to change home, away and third kits annually.

 

For any of the kits they are replacing, the Board of FC United will then draw up a short list of FOUR kit designs. These designs will then be presented to members for a vote either at the AGM or an online member vote. Co-owners will then vote for their favourite design (using the current kit voting system as previously determined by co-owners), with the design with the most votes being put into production.”
